As a Command Center Workleader, you play an essential role in this mission. In the Command Center, you will promote efficiency, organization, team initiative and problem-solving to enhance the department and, ultimately, the entire Cleveland Clinic experience. In this role, you will collaborate with the Supervisor to create a culture of integrity, diligence and excellence. Your tireless efforts not only support your team and efficient workflow but also promote the exceptional environment our patients have come to expect from Cleveland Clinic. All the while, you will further advance your skills, make meaningful relationships and find your place within an exciting, ever-evolving healthcare setting.
A caregiver in this position works two days on, two days off from 6:00AM – 6:00PM or 6:00PM – 6:00AM, with rotating full weekend and holiday requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Assist Supervisor in developing, interpreting, administering and enforcing Security Operations Center policies and procedures.
- Schedule and determine staff work assignments.
- Ensure adequate coverage during lunches and breaks.
- Monitor work and provide instruction and guidance to ensure quality and quantity standards are maintained.
- Resolve problems related to operations.
- Orient and train new employees.
- Participate in performance reviews, counsel employees and recommend corrective action.
- Receive records, assess urgency and respond to all security/police phone calls and emergency calls.
- Monitor and respond to all incoming alarm signals across multiple platforms.
- Receive and transmit all security/police multi-based radio, air transport and satellite communications.
- Process requests for classified data of employees, patients and public.
- Process code and medical emergency activations received from clinical staff and overhead page information.
- Monitor, analyze, and react to real-time alerts via social media and employee travel platforms.
- Draft and disseminate electronic notifications to internal stakeholders.
- Disseminate mass notification alerts to necessary employees during crisis situations.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Two years of experience as a Cleveland Clinic Police Department Communications Officer or Police Dispatcher
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Proven ability to lead and direct the efforts of others/previous supervisory experience

Physical Requirements:
- Work requires extensive sitting and dexterity to perform work on a PC.
- Normal or corrected vision and frequent twisting and turning to perform functions. Should be able to lift 40lbs to move, lift and shelve various supplies and equipment.

- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $18.88
Maximum hourly: $28.80
