On our Facilities Team, your role as an Equipment Technician is to help create a comfortable and safe environment — just like our patients have come to expect. You will assist in general upkeep, such as reporting chipped walls, placing work orders and maintaining overall facility appearance. While you may not interact with patients directly, your behind-the-scenes work will directly impact their experience and leave a lasting impression on both them and their families.
A caregiver in this position works evenings from 10:00AM – 8:30PM, with weekly weekend day requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Perform targets rounding in active patient areas to recover assets for processing and redistribution.
- Clean, deliver, evaluate and inspect specified medical devices and equipment, such as infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, DVT pumps, specialty beds, specialty carts and procedural trays.
- Document work activity in an electronic database.
- Order supplies, stock patient rooms and deploy supplies to units and departments.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- High School Diploma/GED
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Hospital or logistics experience

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk long distances while pushing a cart of equipment/supplies.
- Must be able to lift equipment in excess of 35 lbs.
- Push/pull loaded carts of equipment in excess of 100 lbs.
- Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone, in writing, e-mail or in person.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
