As a PRN Inpatient Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in moving medications throughout the facility to enhance patient care. You will join a team that empowers every caregiver to make valuable contributions to patient-focused care, teaching, and research activities. This team embraces a positive attitude and respects and supports one another to provide the best care possible.
A caregiver in this position works day/evening/night/weekend, 6:00am – 2:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Provide distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the Registered Pharmacist.

Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.

Fill medications carts daily.

Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department.

Repackage bulk medications.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

A high school diploma or GED
-
Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy. You must be eligible for registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy and register within 6 months of hire
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). CPhT through the PTCB is required within 18 months of hire

Six months of hospital experience
